Every March, Austin becomes the center of the world for music, film, and technology. SXSW has been drawing that convergence to our city for decades, and we wanted to make something to mark it.

A Festival Born in Austin

South by Southwest was founded right here in Austin in 1987, and nearly four decades later it's still the place where music, film, television, tech, education, and culture collide for one packed week every March. It's grown from a scrappy local music showcase into a global event that draws creative people from every corner of the world, but the heart of it has always stayed the same: SXSW exists to help creative people achieve their goals, and there's no better city to do that in than ours.

That mission tracks closely with that of Zilker Belts. We're a small, independent, Austin-made brand built by people who wanted to make something well and do it their own way. Partnering with the festival that put Austin on the map for exactly that kind of ambition felt like a perfect fit.
